ArtBGC Mural Festival
The end of May celebrates the anniversary of the ArtBGC Mural Festival. Two week-long festivals = 27 major works of art within a 12 month period. These events brought together a global community of creators that categorically defined the voice of an entire city. Today, you cannot think “BGC” without thinking about street art.
LeBasse Projects first approached us in 2014 to execute this massive undertaking because they really had no idea how to pull it off. The truth is that neither did we at the time. But we figured it out and by 2016, Honeycomb handled all of the airline bookings, logistics, food, transportation, sub-events, media, equipment supply, and over 40% of the curatorial work. We dedicate this video to all those whose hard work made this project a reality, especially the artists and volunteers.
We’d also like to thank all our suppliers, our team at #HoneycombArts, and our sponsors. It’s impossible to name all, but we’ll try… Gillian, Kiddo, Jayn, Bunnie, Drew, Rabi & Davey, Nick & John for Faile, Pedro, Eric, Archie, Kris, Andrew, John Paul, Kate, Pants, Katrina, KFarr & Juxtapoz Magazine, Isai, Eliis, Daniel, Abiel, Faith, Trisha, Angela, Freana, Ayiin, Chris the driver, Mara, Carlet, Chao, Baby Eggs, Aleks, Max, Blaine, Tripp, Francisco, Trixian, Weepee, Nico and Rikka, JJ, Mika, Alelia, Paolo V, Angel, Greg, Jao, Chill, Kookoo, Anina, Nica, Rina, Nate, Jappy, Philippa, Joelle, Sofia, Kristen, Avin, Jan, John, Clint, Joanna, Mare & Karen at SHUTTERPANDA, Purveyor, SDFK, PSP, Gaby & Vinyl on Vinyl, Migs & Sonny & GRID, Lou & Coconuts, Ian & Vans/illest (have you found our easter egg yet?), Joe & Globe Iconic Store, Carrot Bombing, Jaime and Fully Booked, Philippine Airlines, The Max’s Group, Converse, Lyza and Nixon, Don Papa Rum, Barista Box, Cupcakes by Sonja, The Palace Pool Club, the group at BAFI and Bonifacio High Street/FBDC: Monica, Martha, Pam, Sean, Jo, Manny.
